Swiss chard salad with gooseberries

Swiss chard salad with gooseberries

in Happy Green Lunch 5 september 2022

Swiss chard salad with gooseberries, fresh soft goat cheese and blackcurrant jam. The Swiss chard and gooseberries are harvested from our own garden. There is no dressing on this salad, just the homemade blackcurrant jam.

Grow your own fruit and vegetables

Do you also want to enjoy fruit and vegetables from your own garden? You can easily grow Swiss chard yourself in a pot or vegetable garden. A gooseberry bush does well in a spot in partial shade. Or look in your area to see if you can buy directly from the farmer or maybe there is a picking garden where you can purchase a vegetable subscription. The number of organic farmers with their own sales channel is growing steadily in the Netherlands.
